Be Bright, Be Seen
During Road Safety Week, we discussed the importance of drivers being able to see us during dark mornings and evenings. Wearing brightly-coloured and fluorescent clothing and accessories is best of all. This helps us to be seen better during the day and at night.
If we cycle, we must have clean and working lights to use after dark:
- a white light at the front of the bike
- a red light at the back of the bike
We also need reflectors at the back of the bike, and on the front and back of each pedal.
Being bright is not the only way to stay safe on the roads. Whether it’s night or day, always choose a well-lit route with safe places to cross and remember to use the
Green Cross Code
